All training programs are Outcome Based and are assessed according to various Unit Standards and Outcomes. Assessment criteria consists of a Formative Assessment, In-Class Assessments, Summative Assessment and Practical Assessments. Course Duration
Duration: 1-day course
Day 1: Theory and Practical
08:00 am – 12:00 pm (x2 15-minute breaks included)
Final Examination: 20 minutes
Practical Evaluation: +/- 10 minutes per delegate
Once all theory has been completed, Learners are taken outside with one facilitator to complete the Practical Evaluation.
Classes are subject to a maximum of 12 – 15 learners per facilitator
Course Overview
Training is an essential part of proactive Fire Safety Management on every premises and in all organisations. This training is essential in order to protect employees, property and the environment.
There is very little practical purpose to providing Fire Extinguishers if no one on the premises can use them or any other fire equipment if they are not trained to use them.
Lack or no training in this regard could have devastating consequences for employees and the work environment.
At the end of the training employees will be able to identify the different types of fires, explain and practice fire prevention and perform basic fire fighting procedures.
