This QCTO Skills Programme develops practical workplace capability in employee onboarding, induction and orientation together with resource planning, time management and task monitoring. It is designed for people who already perform, or are preparing to perform, team onboarding and resource-management responsibilities.

Course Overview

The programme equips learners to integrate new and existing team members effectively, communicate organisational culture and expectations, plan and allocate resources, manage time and scheduled tasks, monitor progress and support adherence to organisational procedures and protocols.

Who Is This Programme For?

The programme is aimed at people who are already involved in employee onboarding and resource management, or who are preparing for roles that require these responsibilities. Typical workplace roles include junior managers, team leaders, planners, supervisors, first-line managers and managers.

A Qualified Learner Will Be Able To

  • Onboard, induct and/or orientate a member into a team or organisation.
  • Communicate organisational culture, policies, procedures, roles and performance expectations.
  • Plan and manage resources for self and a team.
  • Prioritise, allocate and monitor resources and scheduled tasks.
  • Use time-management and tracking tools to monitor progress.
  • Provide relevant feedback on achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Implement and oversee adherence to office and organisational protocols.

Entry Requirements

Applicants require an NQF Level 3 qualification with Literacy. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may provide an alternative access route in accordance with QCTO policy.

Assessment

Formative Assessment

Ongoing assessment may include assignments, tests, scenarios and other activities used to support learning and confirm progress.

Integrated Summative Assessment

Written and practical assessment activities evaluate achievement of the programme modules and their internal assessment criteria.

Final Integrated Supervised Assessment

The FISA is managed and conducted by the accredited Skills Development Provider in accordance with QCTO requirements. The QCTO programme standard sets a 50% pass mark for the FISA.

Learners who successfully complete the required programme and assessment process are submitted for QCTO approval and certification. The official Skills Programme Certificate is issued by the QCTO.
