  Time Management and Introduction to Lean

This course is accredited with Service SETA and is aligned to Unit Standard 14342. NQF level 2, 4 Credits.

Course Overview
In the workplace Time management skills are essential for professional success, they are also critical in an individual’s personal life. Individuals who are able to successfully implement time management strategies find they have the ability to control their workload rather than spend each day in a frenzy of reacting to crisis after crisis - stress declines and personal productivity soars! These highly effective individuals are able to focus on the tasks with the greatest impact to them and their organisation.

This course is intended for anyone who wants to manage their time effectively by using a variety of practical techniques taught in the course as well as the basic understanding of Time Management. We also introduce you to the concepts of Lean which adds a new dimension to not only understanding your personal Time Management but also how your role fits in with that of your department and business.

There are several concepts and practical tools presented that you are able to take back into the workplace. You will understand the 8 wastes and perform a waste walk, work through the 5S’s and workplace organisation and so much more.

  • The Time Management matrix – identifying Time Wasters and removing them from daily, weekly and monthly activity
